Jul 12 and Aug 02- The Run for Your Life 4 miler and the Blue Points 5k, I am very happy with both these runs! I came in 2nd in the 4 miler and 1st in my age group in the 5k, setting a personal best of 20:53 or a 6:43 mile. I am looking forward to the next one, which is the Greek Fest!
June 07, 2008-University 5k, the 4th race of the Grand Prix series. A very hot, flat run with a lot of Fit 4 Life clients participating. I set a new personal best with 21:02/20:58 or 6:47 miles, w/a 1st place in my age group. Beyond how I did, I am super proud of how the Fit 4 Life clients/family that showed up did! Jean B. Kerrie B., Jennifer A., Pam and Debbie participated. Other clients that ran and placed were Sandy E. 3rd, Trey R. 3rd and Wendy R., 1st in their age groups, congrats and thanks ladies!!
May 17, 2008-Local Charlote Triathlon. After losing 45 pounds, I made some athletic goals for myself. One of them was to do a triathlon sprint. Tiffany has inspired me be an athlete, not just to lose weight. I now focus on the fun of competition and knowing my body will do things I never thought it could. It feels good to be in control of how I feel- emotionally and physically pics . Kerrie Boys
May 17, 2008-FAME Fitness competition Ft. Lauderdale, I was really excited about this show! This is only the second time I have been able to compete in the same show as my sister. The show was a blast and she and I had a great time together. She came in looking wonderful with great definition and solid stage presence and I couldn't have been more excited for her. I was happily able to place 2nd and look forward to competing again with this organization. The link to the site is here http://www.fameworldtour.com ; Results: http://www.wowfame.com/FAME_Ava.html and the link to some of the show pics is here. Thanks to everyone for the support!
May 09, 2008-Twilight 5k, the 3rd race of the Grand Prix series. A little hilly and at 7pm ;-( but manageable! I set a new personal best with 21:06 or 6:48 miles. I must officially say that for the first time I had tired legs, before, during and after. Anyway, 3/110 in my age group 16/516 women, I couldn't have done it without all the positive energy of my friends and Fit 4 Life family.
April 26, 2008-CPCC Sky Line 5k, the second race of the Grand Prix series. A tough one, with the first half up hill! I happily set a new personal record at 21:22 or a 6:52 minute mile, which is 27 seconds off! I did place this time with 3rd/83 in my age group and 11/400 women. I will continue to keep you up to date!
March 15, 2008-Shamrock Four Mile Run, my first run of 2008 and the first competitive one in the Grand Prix series and lots of fun. I finished it in 29:16 or 7:19 mile and came in 7:19 and came in 4/49 in my age group. I am working on increasing my speed for the next one!

December 14, 2007-Paris Mt 5k, my last 5k of 2007 and I was going for a PR. Mission accomplished and 1st place finish in my age group. The goal for next year is to turn the 22:19 to a 21:.....;-), I'll keep you posted!
December 08, 2007-Jingle Jog 5k. A fun run, congrats to Jennifer, Natasha (1st ever), Chantal, Trey and Me ;-) ! We all tried our hardest in this very big 5k-2600 people! I thought my 6th place finish in my age group was okay, but I have to say Trey's medal worthy 2nd place finish in Master's overall was even more impressive!
November 17, 2007-Lungstrong, Congrats to Jean, Sandy, Tatiana, Amy, Kerrie, Jennifer, Wendy and Trey on recently completing the Lungstrong 5k. This was a very challenging hilly run (the hardest course in Charlotte) that took the ladies through the Skybrook community and golf course. A number of the ladies had either never done a 5k or it had been a long time! Awards were won though: Wendy took 2nd place overall for women Trey took 3rd place overall in the Women’s Masters Division and Sandy took 3rd place in her age group
November 03 2007-Dowd YMCA Marathon, 1/2 Marathon and 5K, sooo cold, ick! We did it up though, first Chantal again maintained her run time (no training by the way). Second, I ran my fastest time ever 22:54 and placed 1st in my age group and 4th out all the women, go figure! I tell you that having a good support system makes all the difference in the world.
October 20 2007-Lake Norman 5k, what a hilly run! I am proud to say to two things 1) My best friend Chantal was once again there running and holding on to her new run time. 2) I received my first ever running trophy, I came in 3rd place in my age group!
September 2007-Hit the Brixx 5k and 10k, shifting into high gear Chantal L. and I did the 5k. This was my first serious run of the year and our fastest times this year, 32 min and just under 24minutes for myself. Congrats to Jean and Sandy who did the 10k.
August 2007- Greekfest 5k, congrats to Chantal, Jean and Gretchen (first ever) on just getting out there and doing it. We had a good time!
June 21-24 2007-FAP Miami Bikini Universe, I did break the top 10 again with a 7th place finish. I met a lot of great women and had fun focusing in on competing. I truly believe the women get more fit and competitive each year!! I seem to have been bitten by the bug, I will be there again next year. Follow this link for pics.
May 19 2007-The Client Appreciation party was a success and I can’t wait to do it again next year. I want to thank everyone for coming out! Congratulations to Tina and Brad Lower, they won a morning BootCamp and a Nutrition session respectively. Follow this link for pics.
April 21 2007: Metrolina Bodybuilding Fitness and Figure Contest-I competed in this show in Kannapolis NC recently. It was wonderful competing with my clients and friends there to support and feed me! I earned a 2nd place finish and was quite proud of my conditioning.
December 09th 2006: Kiawa Island 1/2 Marathon (13.1 miles)- Sandy and Jean brought it on home! The commitment they displayed in preparing for this run was amazing and it showed. Kiawa was Sandy's second 1/2 marathon and her fastest, she completed it in 2:18 at a pace of 10:32 a mile! To put this in perspective, I want you to stop and think about how long it takes you to run a mile, now think about maintaining that pace for over two hours!! I am tired, just thinking about it.
Jean was not to shabby herself now, this was her first 1/2 marathon and her main goal was to run the whole way. Well she did that and more, she finished it in 2:36 at a pace of 11:55 a miles. About to celebrate her 51st b-day she deserves a pat on the back, just two years ago when she started running she'd lost 65lbs and was kicking a smoking habit. Around that time her pace was 14 min a mile for a 4 mile run, you've come a long way baby!
Check them out proudly wearing their medals! pic
Congrats to both of them and I can't wait to see what they will tackle next.
October 7th 2006: Race for the Cure 5k- I plan to do this race again next year, it was an amazingly moving experience and my best time yet. Once again Sandy and Jean, long standing clients and friends were there as well as Chantal a very good friend of mine to make it a fun experience. Sandy and Jean have a half marathon coming up and their info will be posted here next. I will probably do one more 5k this year with Chantal and after that I plan on skiing and learning to snowboard!
August 26th 2006: The Greekfest 5k-We, my girlfriend and I decided to do this run on a whim. We had a ball I ran in 26:44 and my girlfriend in 27:50 we both did better than we did the last time we ran this race. Sandy, Jean and Debbie, all clients of mine, ran as well and as usual I am very proud of them. There may be another 5k this year, I'll keep ya posted.
June 24th 2006: The Bikini Universe Pageant in Miami Florida-Well quite the surreal experience, I have competed in the Bikini Universe before, but this was quite different! This is the second time I have done this show, my category is the tall class and there are typically 50 competitors. There is a short, tall and classic (35 and over) category, each with about 45-50 competitors, this is a large show.
I came in 16th the last time I did this show 2 years ago and the competition was no where near as intense as this. The women in my category were professional fitness models, actresses, supplement models, and bikini models and so forth and so on. To top it all off, a lot of them were young mothers who could boast that they'd successfully bounced back from multiple pregnancies. With all that said I had decided I was proud of myself for competing in the preliminaries and just assumed on Finals Day my name wouldn't be called. I was extremely shocked to hear them call my name. This meant I finally had a top 10 break, in a big show nonetheless; I made it into finals, in 4th place! After the initial shock wore off I regained my composure and found myself tied for 5th place when finals ended.
This was one of my most fulfilling competitive experiences thus far; I can't wait for next year! Enjoy the pics and thanks to all of the family, friends and clients that called, supported and encouraged me, all of you are appreciated more than you will ever know.

August 27 2005:
Yay,2nd place and a fun show, my sister joined me in this one and took 4th. We unexpectedly had to compete against each other (there was only one height class) and I personally think she had a better balance to her physique than I, but it was still all in good fun. Thanks to those of you that helped behind the scenes click here for behind the scenes and the rest are on stage,

Also- Congratulations to Sandy Endsley a long standing client, on a personal best at the Greekfest 5k, of 29 minutes and for successfully completing her first 1/2 marathon on September 3rd where she ran 13.1 miles. No stopping...unbelievable. It took her 2:24:14 - she averaged 11 minute miles the whole way.
April 2 2005:
Congratulations to all of you who ran the Charleston Bridge Run 10k this weekend! I know when I woke up at 5 a.m. it was very hard to decide to run in the rain. Me and my girlfriend did it together, we were a little slower this time 1:03 (10min miles) we are gonna work on that though, but had a great time. To all my clients, their friends and their spouses I am proud of you. Those hills got kinda serious for a minute there but you all overcame, keep up the good work.
June 11 2005:
Thank you to the clients who supported me and came to the show as well as the friends who were there for me during it all. The prep for me was a bit grueling and again an educational experience, I will take some of this into the next show. Even though no top 5 break I'm happy with how I looked and the effort that I put in. These shows are good for me because they keep me accountable, goal oriented and motivated so with that said, mission accomplished. In addition to that it also looks like a few opportunities have presented themselves as a result of this show (I'll share that info soon) so I'm definetely pleased with that. Look for pics soon, stay fit.
April 3rd 2004 WNBF competition:
I competed in the women's Figure category of the INBF Renaissance Classic in High Point NC on .
I was able to finish 3rd out of a field of 8 contestants in what was my 2nd event. This qualified me for an invitation as a WNBF professional, the whole goal of my INBF competing!
June 3rd-7th 2004 FAP competion:
I recently competed in the FAME Expo, Fitness America- Ms. Bikini Universe in Miami . I had a wonderful time, ranked 16 out of 40 in the tall class. Did I mention 111 women showed up? My largest experience to date and lot's of fun.
August 28 2004 5k update:
I ran the 5k with friends and it was a fun first time experience. We ran a not too shabby 28 and 29 minute 3.2 mile run. I will turn up the intensity for the next, stay tuned.
Sept 25 2004 10k update:
I ran the 10k called Hit the Brixx I had a cold and felt quite miserable! I did ok though at 54 minute 6.2 mile run and a 1st place Athena placing! See below: http://www.runforyourlife.com/2004_RACES/htb10k.htm!
